Stages and Platforms

A crucial part in every experimental set-up is a stable mounting system. Scientifica offer height-adjustable fixed platforms for upright and inverted microscopes, which pair fantastically with our Universal Motorised Stages for movement around your field of view. Our motorised and manual translatable top plates will be preferred by those requiring to keep their microscopes stationary but still need this roaming ability. Their are options available for both inverted and upright microscopes, and some are suited to adjust between in-vitro and in-vivo studies.

Motorised Movable Base Plate

The Motorised Movable Base Plate (MMBP) is a solid and durable foundation for an electrophysiology rig.

Motorised Moveable Top Plate

Compatible with all major upright microscopes the MMTP (Motorised Moveable Top Plate) is ideal for use with a confocal or multiphoton system.

Movable Top Plate

The Movable Top Plate (MTP) has been designed to allow you to combine Electrophysiology with a range of imaging techniques. Designed to fit around any upright microscope the Movable Top Plate offers extra smooth movement allowing you to scan your sample whilst still recording from Patched Cells.

Inverted Movable Top Plate

To combine electrophysiology with a range of imaging techniques with hands free remote control, the Inverted Movable Top Plate fits around any Inverted microscope allowing you to scan your sample and offers up to 50 selectable memory position in XY and focus.

Universal Motorised Stage

Rapid, precise adjustment makes the Scientifica Universal Motorised Stage (UMS) a valuable tool for electrophysiology research. The Scientifica UMS provides fast, accurate and intuitive remote control that removes the effort and potential for error from the adjustment process.

XY Stage

Based on the same mechanical principles as the Universal Motorised Stage (UMS), the manual XY stage is a cost effective system to achieve the same levels of accurate adjustment outside of the field of view of a microscope while keeping samples and other equipment stationary.
