Field Sales Representative

Job Title: Field Sales Representative

Location: EIMEA, at the manufacturing offices or home office based

Reporting to: Senior Sales Director EMEA

Position Overview:

Responsible for the revenues in a certain dedicated territory, customer base and product portfolio, Territory: France-Switzerland


Key Responsibilities:

  • Field sales representative for the brands: MCS, HEKA, Warner, Harvard Pumps, CMA.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer accounts within assigned territory
  • Prospect for new sales opportunities
  • Develop new business with existing clients and new clients while identifying areas of improvement to meet or exceed sales quotas
  • Technical & scientific consulting via email and phone, remote demo, and regular customer visits/product demonstrations within your sales territory (travel frequency approx. 40%) Negotiate opportunities and close agreements to maximize user needs and increase corporate revenue
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. monthly/quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
  • Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities within territory and region

Typical tasks to do:

  • Creating and following up complex quotes
  • Maintenance of CRM data base
  • Participation at international trade shows
  • Carrying out installations and trainings)
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
  • Tender paperwork
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Clearly communicate the progress of weekly/monthly/quarterly initiatives to Regional Manager and corporate stakeholders

Key relationships:

Internal: Sales- and Application Support Team / R&D / Customer Service External: Customer base


Necessary skills, knowledge and experience required:

  • Very good language skills French and English
  • Experience in the application of our products
  • Team player with good organizational skills and a precise working style

Necessary personal qualifications & competences required:

  • A degree (bachelor/master/diploma/PhD) in natural sciences/electrophysiology, preferably with experience in MEA recordings, in vivo recordings, or patch clamp. TEVC or Ussing would be an additional benefit
